We started out in 2022 right after the end of our sophomore years, in June. We had one question in the front of our minds: how can we ensure accessible, free menstrual products for everyone in our community? Thus, freeperiod. was born.
Started by Elise, Sydney, and Allegra, we wanted to provide fellow students at our school and in our community with access to these menstrual products as periods should never hold one back, especially when it comes to getting an education.
From there, our goal is to expand to other schools in our district as well as community restrooms and locations. However, we can’t grow without a little help. From donations to sharing our posts on social media, your support allows us to reach out to help even more individuals in Chapel Hill/Carrboro and beyond.
